Understandibly! Have you set up your yard to attract birds? Or did this happen quite by accident. Either way, it's wonderful...what a blessing to be so surrounded by God's creation!!! I so enjoy your pictures, they lift my spirits!!
We do look for plants that provide food or shelter to birds. We have a windbreak on the south and west side of the house with pines and spruce trees that are just at the right height for me to find and photograph nests. I have seven bluebird houses that I keep the sparrows and wrens from nesting in. Right now only one has a nest. In past years there have been three houses with bluebirds nesting. I also take pictures through the window of the birds at the feeder!!! That is how Nicole named this blog!!!
I was wondering the same thing. I remember in my old house we had Mockingbird nests quite often and when I'd go to take pics of the nest, I'd ALWAYS get swoped by the momma bird. THe kids would yell, "Mommy, duck!"

These pictures are just wonderful. How do you tell the male robin from the female?
The breast on the female is duller in color.
