We have a windbreak with shrubs, pine and spruce trees. I walk along the rows looking for nests or birds to fly out and then I can find the nest and take pictures!! I also have a bluebird trail of seven boxes and take pictures of the bluebirds. So far we have one pair building their nest!

These eggs are cool, but I have no idea what type of egg I have.

They look like these only the majority color is brown, and they are covered with lines like those.

Please advise by commenting back thanks - anonymous.

Thank you for solving a mystery for us! Our neighbor brought us a nest she found in a hanging planter because she knows we collect nests and now we know for sure what kind of nest it is!

Hi Brenlou

Could I use your photo of grackle eggs for a educational children's project on bird watching?

It's a great shot and I like to teach kids the common birds we see often.
